Larry Miller has built a career as an entrepreneur in the music business for decades.
His thirst for curiosity and deeper learning has been a driving force as an educator, music producer, consultant and public policy advisor right up to the present in his position as clinical associate professor of music business at NYU/Steinhardt.
He also finds the time in his busy schedule to host a successful podcast called Musonomics and to have a budding voice over career as well. Check out Musinomics here
Larry is my guest on this new edition of Takin A Walk focusing on “The Music Business Up Close” as we walk and talk in the colorful area of Greenwich Village in NYC known as Washington Square Park.
Check out the episode here
He is known for cofounding an early digital music company a2b music and an independent record label Or Music so his hands have touched many facets of the industry. With his label experience he was able to find the proverbial needle in the haystack/hit record with his collaboration with the band Los Lonely Boys and their great song “Heaven”.
Larry has immersed himself in his teaching career at New York University since 2012 and he works tirelessly to lecture, coach and mentor the next generation of the music industry.
Thanks to Larry Miller for being on the latest episode of Takin A Walk! I learn from him every time we reconnect.
In other TAW news did a virtual walk via the Podbean app with Charlene Li.
She is definitely one of our finest business minds and her understanding of leadership and transformation is second to none.
Charlene cuts to the core of every conversation and I am so grateful we got to take a walk.
Also, last week had a few walks recorded for future episodes with Kris Meyer and with Jonathan Soroff.
Kris is an American Film and Television Producer who has done a ton of great work with the legendary Farrelly Brothers with tons of big box office success and Jonathan has been a long-standing journalist covering the entertainment and social scene in Boston for the Improper Bostonian and currently for Boston Magazine.
I greatly appreciate their generosity for takin a walk.
