Rest in peace Phil Lesh, one of the greatest in music history, Grateful Dead Bassist, Dead at 84. His music truly moves us forever.

On experimenting with the Dead. “Well it’s kind of the last great American adventure, you know what I mean? Human beings need a little danger, a little uncertainty, a little adventure in their lives and our society frowns upon that.”

Life advice. “It’s not age, it’s experience. Only time can give you mayonnaise.”

On his passion for making music. “Sometimes it happens onstage, or sometimes in rehearsal, but it always leaves me breathless and wonderstruck.”

On music. “We sing a little song before we eat, a little blessing before we eat, and it’s really, we’re thanking the Lord and the Earth for the food that we eat, and it really brings you together in a profound kind of way.”

From Box of Rain. “What do you want me to do, to do for you to see you through? A box of rain will ease the pain, and love will see you through. “
