What a tremendous soul Brent Smith is and the band Shinedown is so talented.

They truly are one of America’s great Rock Bands, scrap that they are one of the great rock bands on the planet.

Their version of “Simple Man” from the Leave A Whisper album released in 2003 is awesome. 45 from that one is also pretty amazing.

“Monsters” from Attention Attention from 2018 is stellar.

Planet Zero is their 2022 album and I love that song “A Symptom of Being Down.”

We talked a lot with Brent about he and the band’s activism around the mental health crisis. He so believes that we need to get the mental health issue out of the darkness.

We were fortunate to also record an episode of our Music Saved Me Podcast hosted by Lynn Hoffman which will be coming out in the future.
